Scandinavia Haul

Long time no blog! I've been away on a 4 week holiday to Scandinavia! Before I've already been MIA due to tests and laziness. I'll try to pick up the blogging again but I can't guarantee anything >_<"

My resolution was to not buy anything in Scandinavia (also because it would be expensive) BUT I couldn't resist sale items and the jacket I bought was necessary so... scold me afterwardsPhotobucket.

Our first stop was in Germany: Bremen. There was a Primark in Bremen but daddy didn't want to go because it was so far away =(

There was a Tally Weijl in Bremen and there was sale so we took a look around. And I found these 3 t-shirts for a bargain. Seriously it was super cheap.

Photobucket

This strawberry t-shirt was super cheap! Only €3,- At first I didn't want to buy anymore t-shirts because I already have a lot  (well, at least I call it a lot) But my sister practically convinced me to get it, and it was only €3,- anyway so why not?

Photobucket

This was the 2nd t-shirt I picked out. €3,- or €5,- either way, a bargain. The bunny is so cute, and I can actually wear this as a t-shirt dress since it's this long on me.

Photobucket

On top of the already reduced items. There was also a buy 3 get 1 for free (the cheapest will be free) And since I already had 3 t-shirts, why not buy a 3rd one, which will be FREE (Yay I love free stuff!) This was either €3,- or €5,- (I remember 2 t-shirts were €3,- and one was €5,- but I don't remember which, only sure that the strawberry one is €3,-) The mouse is cute right? Photobucket

Then we walked to the H&M because we saw there was sale over there as well ^^. And then I bought this cropped t-shirt.

Photobucket

I saw this t-shirt in another H&M in Holland but it was still for normal price, and I thought it was a bit too pricey for what you get, and it wasn't like I really, really wanted this cropped t-shirt. But now it was only €5,- which was: bargain, score!Photobucket

Figured I had bought enough that day and tried to stop myself from buying more stuff. In the evening we ate delicious Thai food at Pochana. It was delicious. absolutely lovely! We ordered the Masaman curry (since we didn't know what it was) Green curry and Yellow curry. All three were delish! Nom nom. The wait was kinda long but it was worth it. And the toilets were super clean! They had a self-changing toilet seat cover O_O like super clean! Felt super bloated afterwards, but happy that I'd eaten some real good Thai food.

The next day we went to Lübeck and I didn't buy anything! *proud* And after Lübeck we stopped in Copenhagen, and since it was Sunday there were almost no shops open =( Bummer. But I must say Copenhagen is a nice city ^^

Next stop was Stockholm. Stockholm has a lot of shops. But! I had to restrain myself to not buy too much. Though I did end up buying a pair of checked shorts.

Photobucket

These were 150 SEK (which is around €13) I like checked shorts and the colour combi is nice. The fabric is quite thick (though not as thick and "stiff" as real denim fabric, but thicker than you would expect) It fits me almost perfect (Yay, even though my waist is quite tiny) and it's just so comfy and cute. This was from a store called BikBok (nice store, didn't know it until then)

The first day in Stockholm was beautiful weather, the next day: Rain =(

After we Stockholm we drove to Norway. I managed to not buy stuff until Ålesund (correct spelling?) where I bought a pink baseball jacket.

Photobucket

I've been wanting a baseball jacket, but a lot of people already wear a red one (you know all those standard colours) but I haven't seen anyone (in my region) with a pink one yet, so I thought: Score! It was a pity it didn't have a fleece lining but I still like it anyway. I was kinda hesitant about buying it at first because I felt bad spending more money (I already spent so much =() but I still ended up buying it >_<" bad me. This was 150 NOK (not too bad I guess?)

We also went to the Dale factory near Bergen. I saw a nice hoodie for 930 NOK which was waterproof. BUT I didn't buy it in the end because it was a bit too pricey for me (Norwegian sweaters are expensive =() and I was afraid I wouldn't wear it often...

Anyway I bought some high-waisted shorts in I think Andalsnes? At the BikBok (such a nice shop with good sale!)

Photobucket

Only 100 NOK! Me likey, but now I have to stop buying shorts xd lol I have like 9 pairs or so.

Because we couldn't go to Oslo we stopped at Hamburg (Germany) before going home =(. I had never been to Hamburg but the shops are quite good I must say!

Photobucket

I needed a new jacket for spring/autumn so I bought this in the sale. My dad practically dragged me to the part they sold jackets because there was like a big sale. This jacket was reduced from €120 to €28.79! He was like, buy it it looks so good on you it fits you and it's cheap! (Lol, dad is a cheapass Asian) but I do like the jacket, it's not too long and it has pockets, and it's the kinda jacket I wanted to have ^^

Photobucket

I also bought this pair of jeans. They are from the Miss Sixty. And honestly I didn't need anymore jeans but for some reason my dad and sis keep pushing me into buying more and saying afterwards: "If you have so much WHY ARE YOU BUYING?!" Tche it's all their faultPhotobucket  (lol at smiley) But I like the colour of the jeans and the little detail in the knee area. I was surprised it fits me because usually my big thighs are a huge problem (that's why I need to slim down those bad ass thighs) =-= but luckily this is stretch so it does fit ^^. The jeans were reduced to €40.

I also bought a pair of earrings (stars) but I didn't take a good picture >_<" so no picture. They were only €2 so I thought... Why not?

Ending my haul now. I'm sorry for the long post with lotsa pictures (notice how I got lazy near the end) and sorry if the pictures look kinda boring >_<" After all the editing I don't feel like putting on any special effects (even more time consuming)

I will try not to procrastinate as much as I did (probably is due to the fact that editing costs a lot of time, even though I do it in a noobish way).. BTW I even took pictures of the stuff I bought in Paris but that was like LONG ago,,, doesn't make a lot of sense to blog about it now right?

Well, all's well ends well...

Project for school

There's an assignment for a subject called Cultural Education (for my feeling it's completely useless, too bad that I'm stuck with it for the next 3 1/2 years :/) and we have to sew a whole outfit. The theme is baroque. I will keep you updated on all the stuff and all. Like the end result and parts in between.

So, the idea is a big dress, lots of ruffles and lots of lace, if it's available. But it's always easy to have ideas and imagine it all, but when the practical work starts... it won't be that easy anymore >.< I don't know if I should trust my sewing skills. Because big dresses do need lots and lots of work. And if I'm correct the teacher wants it finished somewhere by the end of February... HOLY SH*T, even if we're with 3 persons (actually with 5, but the other 2 will probably make a hat or so...?) making a big dress like that... Inhuman, especially in that few time we have in class (50 min. every week), sketching will be homework and maybe even more... If I think hard about it we've got 2 weeks to work on it at school... *total de motivation* Hopefully I like sewing and I won't have that many problems, and I will learn things because I do want to sew more things in the future.

We made a moodboard but I'm not sure if I can get my hands on that.

I'm also a bit clueless about the amount of fabric we need. We do know what kind of fabric and so on (e.g. lace) but how much...? No clue... Any of you guys have a clue? Tell me please. The dress is for a mark, not like a really care, but I do want to try my best since I want try and sew clothes in vacations as well as I've said many times >.<

Actually everyone is clueless xd. I haven't got a clue about the fabric either... >.<

But I'll have an intense search right now and hopefully I'll find something useful O.O

xoxo I'll keep you posted~

All Stars! My 2nd pair. Before I saw these shoes I was like: "Ah well, I won't buy any All Stars anymore" But these were so cool. I think they look better when you actually wear them but still! Original price was €74.95 but I got it for €35,- Photobucket

T-shirt from the Forever 18. They have amazingly cute t-shirts. I looove them! This one is so cute! I walked in and I immediately saw this one and I was like: "I wanna have that!" The panda is so cute, right? Photobucket It cost me €7.99 not too expensive, but not a sales item.

2 Pullovers from Pimkie! Also very happy with these. I also wanted to buy the blue pullover in wine red colour, but they only had it in M, which was extremely oversized Photobucket but the blue one is very nice as well, basic and oversized, something I wanted.
The Nordic print pullover cost me €12,- originally €24.97 or so..? And the blue pullover was €7,- and originally €24.97. They're nice and warm and feel quite soft Photobucket

IMG_2307

I forgot the name of the shop where I bought this, but I'm sure you can find it in many places, only not for this price, I think. I didn't really need a new lip butter, but I thought since it's only €2,- anyway AND it's organic and all, why not? It smells nice.

If you look really well you can find amazing things in sale. But usually it's the big sizes that are left, which is not very convenient for me >__<

But I had a nice shopping day, though I am kinda tired now. So I think I'm going to sleep soon.

Print Leggings

Omg, I LOOOVE printed leggings. It makes them a lot less boring. And also since I have black hair, I tend to avoid black tights and so on, I just avoid a lot of black clothes (>-<)

I haven't seen many in stores, only online. Though my sister did find one (a Nordic print) at The Sting, but... it was about €30,- for a friggin' legging! I know there are people who'd seriously buy that, but that doesn't include me...

I will list some really cute leggings here~ (it's something like a "wish list" but not completely~ hehe I don't know what to call it)

(Nordic print *heart eyes*)

There are also a lot of other print leggings, but I think they're ugly O.O;; I don't like stripes (though if they're vertical, you optically look longer) and those weird swirls of colour.

But I do like hearts, Nordic prints (OK, I admit, I use too many Nordic print images xd) and checked... depends, some I like some I don't.

I feel like I want to wear more leggings now (not in real cold temperatures, though  >_<) and it makes my legs optically more slim?

I'm sorry if my posting time's are really irregular and sometimes really late, but I want to try and improve >.< and I haven't really figured out if I should favour my blog over homework ...?

Cute hat and other blabber

So... I actually wanted to make a post about Max Factor Las Extension mascara. But then dad's camera run out of battery and I couldn't make any pictures of the swatches. >.< had to take so many photos, and neither of them worked out. It's really hard to work with a camera and make good close-up photos of you eyes, especially if you want to focus on you eyelashes. But other than that. Look at this:

Isn't the hat cute~ the strawberries. If it was without the strawberries it would just be normal. There's also a brown, pink and black version of this hat. But as far as I've seen, they only have this white one and a pink one at YesStyle

I'm a fan of things with print. I have a lot of t-shirts with print, which I always wear underneath a vest or cardigan, makes it just a bit nicer instead of just a plain white or purple top or so.

Moving on again... with a question. Do you guys like winter? Hehe, yeah, again... my complaints about WINTER. OMG, if it's just cold, it's survivable. But if it's "cycling on ice" it's annoying, depressing and demotivating. Who wants to go to school with the idea that before you reach school you have to try and cycle without falling and crashing, whatever. It's so tiring, and usually I just start walking, just to be sure I won't fall, but it's not like walking is that safe either, I should have ice skates, would make my life a lot easier in winter. >.<. But luckily, the weather forecaster says that it'll be +9 C in the weekend. =D Yay, let's melt away the ice.

I'm sorry for a boring post again, I really want to try some things, review things, but since the camera kinda died on me, I can't yet and tomorrow I won't have time to take pictures >.< (and mobile phone pictures are not acceptable for me,,, since you can hardly see my lashes :'))

I shall see what my cupboard contains and all, and if there is stuff that I can review >.< but I don't expect much.

Maybe reviewing a lipgloss would be a lot easier, my lips are more visible than my lashes ...

xoxo stay warm and I'm sorry if this is a boring post, again...

Japanese Fashion Magazines: Inspiration from Popteen?

Here are some sources of my inspiration hope they´ll inspire you too!

Yay for the oversized, knit vests. And the blocked pants. They look awesome! In magazines they always look so cute. The hairdo, the glasses and the hats. It makes me love curly hair and want to wear hats, not only to keep my ears warm but also because it looks cute :3 (gives me the idea: I should sew a bow on my hat, makes it a lot cuter :D) Click for more!

Nosing through my parents' closet and I'm crocheting a scarf?

Yesterday evening my sister was searching for clothes in my parents' closet. She came back with a pile of stuff and she brought a really nice sweater
73% acryl
27% wool

Sounds pretty warm to me

I love the oversized part. Looks really cute. Only I have a feeling that it's missing something, so maybe I should sew on a bow or something?

This sweater is absolutely wearable even though it was from my dad. I'd say, start nosing in your parents' closet and maybe you'll find some really nice clothes which they don't wear any more and start pimping!

Talking about pimping things, making clothes yourself. I'm crocheting a scarf at the moment. Unfortunately my ball of wool is already finished (was too active in crocheting last night)
Gotta go to the action to buy some new. But due to the snow that'll be difficult, can't go anywhere like this (>.<)

Anyways, I started yesterday evening or so and this is what I ended up with after a whole evening crocheting till like 0.00 h or so?
I know it isn't really straight, but it's my first try so...
It's not like anyone would notice when you wrap the scarf around your neck. It's still a lot cheaper than buying one yourself. Of course it'll take time, everything takes time but when you finish it'll give that really proud feeling and I also think it's very relaxing. You could do it while watching TV :D Let's get creative!

xoxo-ies!

Wish List Winter 2010: Clothes

My motto for this winter: stay warm! To do this I want to buy new clothes, preferably warm and cute ones. Like knit sweaters.

This one is so cute! It has rabbits :3 Only the colour... red could be too striking for me >.< but their only other colours are black and since black is also the colour of my hair I'd rather not wear many black clothes. And green, is not really my colour *sigh* am I a picky person?

The thing is with knits. I have the feeling they are quite expensive >_< especiallly if they're wool. I'm such a supporter of low-budget. But if it's really nice, warm and cute I'll try and convince my dad :D

I want Nordic print leggings! I think they are really different from just normal uni-coloured leggings. And I haven't seen anyone in my neighbourhood walking around with that :D If you want warm ones, you'll have to spend more because of the wool (damn... low-budget) Still figuring out where I should buy some though, I sometimes feel bad for my dad because he has to pay all my stuff (and yes, I should probably start finding a part-time job =_=) It'll also be quite a problem if it's a "one-size fits all" Well, it won't fit me, trust me. My legs are short (and chubby) :(

Yay for hats! They look cute and are nice and warm. But instead of buying one I might have to try crocheting one? Could be a lot cheaper. Or I could steal hats from my dad :D

Lol, I get the feeling I mentioned my dad quite a few times. Well, he earns the money so...

In the Christmas Holiday I also want to crochet a circle scarf :D Why pay so much when you can make it yourself?

xoxo

Winter

It's a fact. Climate is changing: winters are getting colder and colder, summers will be drier and drier. The dry weather in the summer I can handle. But cold winters are still getting me, especially snow.

In the winter I always get like swollen toes that start itching and become a bit painful. My feet are easily cold so I wear nice and warm socks =D

I recently got these nice and warm socks :3

(Sorry for the bad quality >.< I have to start learning how to make nice photos and borrow my dad's camera)

These socks are:
  • 40% angora (it's a more fancy wool and won't easily wear down)
  • 30% wool
  • 30% polamid
Sounds nice and warm :3

(this picture was not from me, I found this on the internet)

As for sweaters and so on. Knits are warm and with luck you can find a cute one :D Personally I think oversized sweaters are really cute, and a way to hide my tummy >.<

I want to buy therm leggings/tights. Seem so warm and enables me to wear shorts/skirts when it's colder. But when it gets real cold like around -10 C I will just wear jeans with therm underwear underneath :3

Keep yourself and your feet warm ;)
